Well it would have been, if I hadn't quit my job :) I'm seriously trying not to think about what would have been in my checking account right now. It's not the right thing to dwell on now. In fact I have several things I am trying not to dwell on right now, but that's another story for another time....
Today I am thankful. Thankful that tomorrow I will spend Thanksgiving with my family. Family that includes my 82 year old Grandpa and almost 81 year old Grandma. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August. Sixty years is an amazingly long time to share your life with someone. I'm sure it has not been without a tremendous amount of ups and downs but they've done it. I only have 11 years of marriage down and already I think wow, 49 more eh? One day at a time my friends, one day at a time ;)
We will also see a variety of parents, siblings, aunts & uncles tomorrow. The food will be tremendous and plentiful, the banter will be funny with a few jabs here and there. All in all I expect a fantastic day. So I am thankful for high expectations, loving family, awesome food, and a break from finding a job. Oh, did I actually type that? Yeah, well, no one is hiring on Thanksgiving anyway. Happy Turkey Day everyone!
