I grew up in the 80's. I was 8-18 in that decade and the music from that time takes me back to so many great memories.
I was driving to work the other day and flipping through the local stations. I'm a fan of country, always have been, and I really enjoy the morning drive DJ's on our local station WYCD. After listening to them chat for a bit they played a song I hadn't heard yet. At least I hadn't heard this version. It was "Life in a Northern Town" originally done in the 80's by The Dream Academy. Only this version is performed by Sugarland, Little Big Town & Jake Owen. They started performing it during their CMT tour and they performed it live on the CMT awards in April. Country stations all over the US have bootlegged the performance off the TV and added it to their rotations and now it's on the Billboard Charts this week at #30. The harmonies are awesome and I just love listening to it. I hope they release it as a single so I can buy it.
Check out the video here so you can share in my excitement. Let me know if it pimples your skin too.
