I really want to do this...

I have wanted to have a blog for some time now. But I bounce between doubting my own abilities, wondering why anyone would want to read what I have written, and just flat out concluding that I don't have the time.

But the last four months have been insane, starting with a husband's impending shoulder surgery and ending today with another major round of lay offs at my work (which I have lived through- again) and I think maybe it would be good for me to put it all out there. I'm no Dooce, or Rockstar Mommy, but I was a decent writer back in my day (at Community College, you know that "my day").

Here is a summary of what I had lived through the first 3 of the 4 months in question. I apologize for the 3rd person references :)

9/27/07 10 year anniversary

9/29/07 Ryann turns 7

9/29/07 Cory's 20th High School reunion

10/5-7/07 Halloween weekend camping trip

10/6/07 Grandma has heart attack

10/12/07 Cory has shoulder surgery to correct torn rotator cuff (sp?), frayed ligament, and bone spur.

10/12/07 Grandma has quadruple bypass surgery

10/12/07 Stacy faints after attempting to help her husband get dressed after his surgery. Period and lack of food to blame.

10/14/07 Stacy twists ankle after stepping on backdoor thresh hold wrong while attempting to "do it all". Proceeds to hobble on black, purple, yellow foot for a week or so.

10/19/07 Grandma comes home from hospital after having two more stents placed in additional blocked arteries not seen during quadruple bypass!

10/29/07ish Stacy has horrible cold, shakes if off :)

11/3/07ish Cory catches bad cold, ends up with bronchitis. So now I get to hear him adjust the velcro on his sling all night long, and cough.

11/10/07 Cory finally takes Stacy away for a night to celebrate 6 weeks prior 10 year anniversary!

11/13-21/07 Cory takes annual deer hunting trip in the UP, despite the fact that he can't lift his left arm and he is left handed. Returns having never even attempted to shoot his damn gun for fear he would do further damage to shoulder and his wife would leave him!!!!!

11/19/07 Jayden throws up in the middle of the night, wakes up screaming that her throat hurts and begs Mommy to "Fix it", all while trying to get Ryann ready for school. Stacy does not work, takes Jayden to the DR. Strep test is negative.

11/20/07 Awesome neighbor offers to keep Jayden for the day because daycare won't take her due to hurling and fever.

11/21/07 Stacy works from home on agency holiday to make up for Monday. Pediatrician calls, Jayden has strep and has now infected half of the neighborhood. Daddy comes home and gets an earful and lots of evil comments from Mommy. Jayden misses an entire week of daycare that we still have to pay $165 for!

11/22/07 Thanksgiving and things begin to return to normal UNTIL...

11/24/07 Stacy has strep too!

We don't really need to detail December, only to say that it went by really fast and now here we are in 2008, and what has come from all of this is a first post in a blog I named last Summer, beause I really wanted to start a blog.
